Scans and Life Update

Caroline's progress scans showed a "partial response" to the most recent treatment plan that she has been on since early summer. The 2 active boney disease spots both reduced in size compared to her scans in early June; this is "good," but not "great" news.

The plan for now is to continue alternating the 2 oral chemotherapy drugs and then re-scan her again in October, hoping for complete response by then. Caroline has had some recent side effects, most notabaly significant hair thinning/loss + nausea.

She had a really rough start to the summer with significant pain from mouth sores related to one of the medications she was taking for the early part of this treatment (we have since discontinued).

Caroilne just started 7th grade today and is looking forward to meeting new teachers and friends during her first full week back to school!

Big brother Andrew has been very supportive, offering care and companionship along the way. He's currently in his 7th week of the Franklin Fire Academy and loving it.

We are truly grateful for the continued love, support and prayers for our family...please keep the prayers for a miracle coming!

With love,
The Lantz Family
